Vibor Bikas Bank Limited (VIBOR), a national level category B financial institution licensed from Nepal Rastra Bank (the central bank of Nepal), commenced its operation from October 4, 2007. VIBOR is promoted by non-interfering, trusting, and open-minded 135 people coming from diverse background. Collectively, the promoters hold 61 percent of the total capital of Rs. 680 million. However, no individual promoter holds more than 3%, the average shareholding is 0.45% and the standard deviation 0.46%. Remaining 39% will be sold to general public.
